The many moods of my fave sunset spot in Kisarazu, Chiba.

Been going here many years and there's always something to photograph there. Be it the amazing sunsets, on flat-calm days. Or the birds. Or the helicopters from the nearby JSDF base.

Here's four of my many faves.

Visited Pokemon Store Outlet in Kisarazu. Didn’t know a type of shop like this existed, but they have a great stock of Pokemon Fit plushies!

Sadly didn't have time to get out anywhere interesting to enjoy the 2025 Wolf Moon. But, here are a few from the 2022 Wolf Moon, which I drove over to Kisarazu to photograph.

Lovely evening. Mount Fuji came out to play. Which is always lovely there.

The bird was a nice bonus.

A couple of peaceful images that I made over in Kisarazu, Chiba a few years back. This spot is - on a good day with minimal traffic - 35 mins from our place in Tokyo. Under & over the bay (via the Aqua Line). Amazing spot.

Telegraph poles going out into the shallow waters of the Tokyo Bay at Kisarazu, Chiba. This is a popular clam digging spot and you can walk out maybe 750m on those days and still be only up to your knees in water.

A Japan Ground Self-Defense Force attack helicopter with a red-haired anime girl painted on the side and a banner reading "20th anniversary," I believe of the base at Kisarazu. On the wing of the helicopter sits a JGSDF female soldier wearing a red cosplay wig to look like the character. An OH-1 JGSDF helicopter with an anime SDF member named "Wakana Kisarazu" on the side; on the wing, a JGSDF soldier is dressed to match. A set of anime figurines of female JSDF members in various uniforms posing in kawaii ways. A JSDF recruiting poster using anime school girls, I suppose so you can earn their admiration by joining up.

A few shots from a drive across Tokyo Bay from our place, to Kisarazu in Chiba. Fave sunset spot of mine. And this was on the occasion of the "Wolf Moon" of Feb. 2022.

JSDF heli base is nearby, hence the Chinook.

And, yep, that's Mount Fuji.

Je ne vais pas compter Oshin (que j'ai à peine entamé), Be Nice to People et Kisarazu Cat's Eye sont tous deux sortis en 2002. Deux comédies loufoques bien années 2000 mais géniales, à découvrir sur Netflix.
