Wow! It’s been a while since I did a #KitchenClean, mainly cos I’m birding til nigh on 10 each evening and kitchen is being done in daytime 😱 but with the kitchen resembling a demolition site, it could only be Crass! And Stations of the Crass in particular.
Having heard Banned from the Roxy on the radio today, tonight’s #KitchenClean 🎶 is Stations of the Crass. The opening chord of the opening track, Mother Earth, still makes the hairs on my arms tingle. Other delights include The Gasman Cometh, Heard Too Much About, Chairman of the Bored. Love it!

Today is #InternationalWomensDay so I’m listening to the female band members of Crass and their all-women album, Penis Envy, whilst doing the housework. Ironic, eh. Listening to anarchic women whilst doing ‘woman’s work’. I’ve covered this album before in my #KitchenClean 🎶 posts. Anarchy and peace.
Continuing the Crass #KitchenClean 🎶 theme tonite with their third album, Penis Envy. Probably the most accomplished and produced Crass album featuring exclusively female vocals by Eve Libertine and Joy De Vivre addressing feminist issues. Bata Motel is one of my fave album opening tracks. 1/4 👇🏼

In June 1978 Dire Straits released their first album, Dire Straits. I remember going f to the record shop with my dad when he bought the LP. I absolutely loved it! Three weeks later I was given the tape of the album for my 11th birthday. Boom! I played it endlessly!

Tonight’s #KitchenClean 🎶 is Led Zeppelin IV. The one with the iconic album cover (see alt txt). One of the best selling albums of all time and widely lauded. Playing it tonight reminded me how much I dislike it. I’m not into a lot rock genres especially the folk-based stuff. I’d keep three tracks.

Tonight’s #KitchenClean 🎶 is an album and era of #theBeatles I rarely visit, A Hard Day’s Night. It’s probably the album that best sums up the #Beatles early 60s rise to stardom, films, and #Beatlemania. It’s the era that made them famous but didn’t define them - that was from Rubber Soul onwards.
