JJ blep!

JJ has been steadily getting braver, hanging out, begging for treats and pats. I'm very proud of his progress!

JJ is settling into foster life & is starting to relax. He’s friends with the other kittens & learning to play w/them like a kitten his age should, & is less reactive when you reach for him. We’re seeing playful mouthiness more than fear-biting. In a lovely twist, he’s decided my wife is his pal 🥰

JJ, the 4 month old kitten who came to us skinny, anxious & reactive to hands coming towards him, has shed his fear & suspicion while living with us as a foster. He’s learned the joy of having other kittens his own age to play with, & cuddles all day on foster mom, purring mightily. He’s healing. 🧡

Ibis and JJ aren't brothers, but are the same age (~5 months), and both from feral colonies. They're doing so well here and consistently making good choices around socialisation!

Gorgeous JJ came out for treats and a big love because he heard his sisters weren't monopolising my time anymore.

I tried to get a photo of him and Ibis side by side to show how big JJ is, but no luck. They're the same age, but JJ is gonna be huuuuuge.

Since integrating JJ with the other kittens, he is slowly figuring out how to interact with them. He really only seems to understand “play chase” so far but the amount of growling and anxiety is decreasing. He’s still very mouthy and prone to swatting but he is much happier to have friends around.

JJ has been given FREEDOM! I'm hoping this isn't a terrible choice.

What it is is a lazy choice - Ibis is down with a URI and I didn't want to set up a new crate for him. So JJ is now free and Ibis is Very Sad in a crate where I can get my hands on him.

JJ also got lots of treats and settled in for a big brushing session. He was a happily melted kitten by the end of it, but I missed that photo.

JJ! After 36 hours of hiding, he has gotten brave and emerged to shout at me about breakfast. He also demanded lots of pats and affection.

He was so snuggly and only mildly worried about being huffed.

Ibis is SO happy it was treat time. He raced up to me and stood on my knee so he could have all the delicious tubes.

(JJ was a bit off to the side, Ibis wouldn't share so JJ got finger tube treats)

Please admire glorious JJ who saw his sister Lily being brushed and decided he might like to also be brushed.

JJ has been very shy since being released from the crate, but he adored being brushed and getting churu treats. And now his mane is A+++ perfection.

Only slightly less beautiful than his sister is JJ.

JJ is still slightly skittish, but coming around beautifully. He's not into cuddles get, but he loves chin scratches and ear rubs.

Look at this perfect floofball! JJ is doing amazingly well, today he is really leaning into pats and headbutting me! He also got his little ruff brushed out and enjoyed that.
