“The lion-headed serpent was popular in magic and is often found pictured on amulets. The daimon is a syncretistic combination of the Egyptian creator god Khnum, the serpent Kneph and the star Knm.“

To the Gwerni, Tefnet is one of three divine brothers. The ancient Barrowfolk worshipped Knefnes, or Knéph Nassa - the Queen of Twilight, who rode a chariot dragged by two wyrms through her fields of pale Aspadala flowers.
Curious.
And sure, I'll post another Kromlech concept, one of my favourite props I did: the shrine of Tefnet, our god of the Underworld, the master of dragons and earthly fire.

I’m out of my mind excited, having just received this antique jewel depicting a winged cosmic egg (or Kneph) with Lybic chain, associated with the Rites of Memphis & Mizraim & the Antient and Primitive Rite…one of the strands of esoteric masonry from which OTO emerged in the early 20th century. /1

We don't deserve doggos. But, by the knobbly knees of kneph I'm glad the doggos are good to us hairless apes.

Today, I learned about the god Kneph.

Perhaps the ONLY god that has a name beginning with "Kn" and I just think that's neat. Also, it's a snake with legs (or apparently an egg with wings?)

Sounds like some serious Pokémon stuff. Those wacky ancient Egyptians. It's also giving strong Trogdor vibes.

Kmeph, Kneph, Chnoubis, Knouphis...what do these names mean? Where do they come from? In the Ogdoadic tradition we call Agathodaimon "Knouphis" aka the winged serpent but all these names come from an epithet of Amun: Kamutef, "Bull of His Mother" so even in our modern practices, Amun still Breathes
