ah! forgot to add! the original point! the Fade "remembers" the connection between Mythal and the Kossith. maybe through the blood bond, maybe through Solas memories. the throne is meant to be sat on by Mythal and the Kossith statues are poised to defend her.

I am very curious about the pre-elf era of Thedas. Humans, griffons, dragons, and titans all definitely existed before the veil and elves. What about the Kossith? I wonder if they were around, or lived far away. Perhaps they were also human? Or somehow related to them? And the magic everywhere?

• Executors are now on continent of the ancestors of the Qunari (the kossith). They’re still power-hungry, maybe wanting revenge but afraid of the Evanuris & Solas’s power.

• Conquer and enslave kossith? Kossith turn to dragon blood to give them the power to fight back, also creating adaari.

that didn't rely on magic but instead brute force: the original Qunari/the Kossith. this fits neatly with the Qunaris' negative attitude towards magic AND it explains why the old tablet Shathann has (can only be read with magical fire!) talks about the devouring storm. they were created to fight it.

Ghilan'nain is raised to the pantheon to take their place. to sort of pretend nothing happened. "yeah no see? THIS is what we've been doing! Halla and shit, no super soldiers here, haha!" Meanwhile, the Qunari/Kossith are abandoned/flee, possibly run into the Devouring Storm/Executors on the way.

• Solas makes the Veil, imprisons the Evanuris, takes the biggest nap.

• Executors grow and thrive across the sea. Kossith also try to flee to Thedas but are wiped out somehow.

• Kossith successfully flee “Devouring Storm” (Executors) to Thedas centuries later; Koslun figures out the Qun.

Under the heat of the Rivaini sun, Fi and Taash are taking stock after a fight in a sandy ruin. Taash, the tall kossith, is wearing the usual azure blue dragon scale armor with red rope detailing and a bunch of gold. Fi, the dwarf from the cool continental climate, has decided to forgo her normal armor in favor of a very light two-piece version with green hotpants and a green leather crop top armor, over which are layered various pieces of leather and gold armor that are at least somewhat functional even if quite far from full protective coverage.

Damaged or broken horns, formerly curving down and to the front, have been cut off about 5 inches in and capped with short, gold-braced amethyst extensions that are much more convenient in times of peace. Formerly much more impressive mane of white hair has also been cut down to a short, light sidecut that falls partially over her right eye, concealing the partial loss of sight and the healed but still cruel-looking gouges of scars. The strong kossith features are unmistakable, from the massive brow supporting the horns to the tall, almost vertically flat nose and pointed, outwardly turned ears. She wears the light touch of blue to lighten her heavily darkened eyes, but the rest of her face is covered by a vitaar facepaint design of command, with intricate patterns in black on her nose and forehead and wider, more smeared lines of yellow creating a V at the forehead and another from eyes to chin, with more yellow completing the design. A wider shot of Eyry. A quarter profile from knees up shows her powerfully built, heavily muscled frame towering nearly eight feet tall – far from the tallest of kossith but markedly so for a Vashoth. A stark departure from her usual opulent combination of Antivan florals and Rivaini gold, she wears a light greenish-gray military-style suit.

Since I'm starting to think the elves didn't have anything to do with the qunari and Anaris was ranting about the Devouring Storm, maybe he *saw* the kossith/qunari when he encountered the DS and adopted the appearance.

After all, his mask also looks a LOT like it's an elf-ified Antaam mask.
