I lived in Indonesia for a few years, so am familiar with all those styles. I love a bit of cheesy dangdut and old style kroncong, but gamelan will always be my first love - especially from Yogyakarta..although sundanese is sublime and the frantic stuff in Bali is also essential listening...so much!
