The house is called Lagangarbh Hut, though it was once a crofthouse. It's owned by the National Trust for Scotland and is managed by the Scottish Mountaineering Club. See more here: smc.org.uk/hut/lagangarbh

The Inn at the Foot of Mount Vengeance got a lovely review in Booklist, so it was a good excuse to bring out my subpar canva skills. 🥳 #fantasysky #booksky

I think this spatial songscape scene based (loosely) on Lagangarbh Hut in Glencoe is done? Just this scene is a huge though as a build, so need to look into compression of both sound and image! #Wwise #computermusic (still not sure about the sepia tone)

Last evening the weirdest thing happened. The sun came out! Today has made up for it. This spot is the Lagangarbh hut, a well known spot around Glencoe #LagangarbhHut #WeeWhiteCottage #Glencoe #LandscapePhotography #SunshineOnARainyDay

Lagangarbh, and the Buachaille... scene of adventures in my teenage years. Lothian Region owned the barn at the back of the cottage, and I stayed there on courses and then with the schools' climbing club, the Tuesday Club... Sigh.

After a snarky self-chastising post this morning, here's something a bit more like what I normally post.

A set of favourite images which I don't think I've shared here as yet (because I've really not shared much at all, and I need to remedy that).

Hello Bluesky! Excited to see what this platform brings. So, as the temperatures start to drop in the UK, I’m going to kick my posts off with a snowy Scottish scene taken a few years ago in… *checks notes* April!

It was an early start for me going up Buachaille Etive Mor today, passing the Scottish Mountaineering Club hut at Lagangarbh just as the day was dawning.

Taking advantage of the first day for a while which hasn't involved rain and gales to head up a mountain. An old favourite of mine, Buachaille Etive Mor. Surely one of Scotland's most photogenic mountains, especially in winter.

The Lagangarbh Hut of Glencoe - my original fountain pen ink drawing artwork on A5 paper ✍️🌿

Inspired by the traditional Crofter's home, also known as the wee white house, found in the dramatic Scottish Highlands mountain landscape of Glencoe

Stob Dearg and the Lagangarbh Hut, the shot that just about every landscape photographer has in their portfolio.
This one was taken back in November of 2019, very early morning, still one of my favourite shots and locations, it's a location that we look for when on our way to the Glencoe area,

Everyone knows the Lagangarbh Bothy and Blackrock Cottage, two of the most photographed properties on Rannoch Moor/Glencoe.
Well I thought I'd post two of my favorites, the Black Roofed Bothy from down Glen Etive, the Red Roofed bothy from near to Shieldig Torridon, #ScotlandinPhoto #Landscapephoto

I’m liking it over here, much more amiable. Here’s a shot of the River Coupall in flood mode just below Lagangarbh cottage.
