#langblr
Just adapting tumblr subculture naming conventions to bluesky subculture names when I tag things

bookblr → booksky
langblr → langsky
studyblr → studysky

Hey friends, since Duolingo is reminding us they suck again here is a list of alternative language learning apps.

Pimsleur courses might be available through your library and other places and are excellent for conversation.

I keep a Tumblr of Arabic resources, but I'm coming at it f/ opp direction (*too much* MSA at the start so I can't speak well) & a lot of my resources are about speaking / listening. But you can scroll and see if anything looks useful? www.tumblr.com/blog/learnar...

You can start w a self learning book and join language discords. Japanese langblr has a lot of resources. Generally u want to start with character recognition like Hiragana/katakana/ basic kanji

And learn essential phrases to get familiar with norms

Usually each two week is themed
