*Fortran & the purer Lisp dialects are the only languagess that don't fall into this category imo.

OKAYSS VRBAS LANGUAGESS‼️💥✨️
hes def fluent in czech, slightly less so in russian due to her father mainly teaching her in the liek,, one to two months per hes home at the village, but its still strong enough for her to understand most phrases n slang n hold strong conversations,,
ithink im gnna make her mother a baker cuz vrba would go out into the forest to collect berries n that honestly needs a purpose, hence her mothers job,, also gives vrba an excuse to bake for barry when they stumble upon an abandoned shop full of supplies much later on,,
apart from killing as many cannibals as possible in her time drifting through europe, vrba also loosely aims to find her father at his lighthouse in hopes of reuniting with him, but meeting n reluctantly getting acquainted w barry after stowing away to san sebastian complicates things largely

'Porcupine' goes back to *thorn pig*: < OF porc-espin < Latin porcus + spina.
Sinitic languagess also call it a 'pig': 豪豬 (porcupine-pig)、箭豬 (arrow pig)、刺豬 (prick-pig). The graph that's now 豪, according to the Shuowen Jiezi, originally just wrote the word for a porcupine (it has a '豕')!

A big flaw with spelling reform is that it tends to pave over regional diversity. How I, a canadian, pronounce something is different from a brit, a scot, an aussie, an american. Many of the European nations who did that wiped out dialects and smaller languagess (like low german)
