Ottessa Moshfegh’s Lapvona, my last read of 2025, has become one of my faves of the year. It’s a monstrous, profound classic. I feel like I’ve read something ancient.

When I read LAPVONA, a truly terrible novel, I realized that Moshfegh’s literary shtick really had an expiration date and well, yes

Almost finished "Lapvona" by Ottessa Moshfegh. It's a medieval tale, horrible and horribly funny, and also kind of brilliant.
Reader discretion advised. Many cws.
