Chickens it’s pretty much always rapidly fatal , others it does vary but this strain is unusually pathogenic in ducks, geese. Swans ( anseriformes) and in many gulls, terns ( laridea) etc, raptors too. We won’t know yet with many of your Australian species but the assumption would be high mortality
