#BOTD: Beloved actress, singer and dancer Ann-Margret (full name: Ann-Margret Olsson), a Swedish native who immigrated into the US at age 5. Shown here in her role as Flavia in my favorite of her movies, "The Last Remake of Beau Geste" (1977). #annmargret #lastremakeofbeaugeste #filmsky
Promo photo of Ann-Margret from "The Last Remake of Beau Geste". She's shown in bed, wearing lacy lingerie and a diamond necklace, looking off-screen at someone. Her copper hair is done up in a "Gibson Girl" pompadour hairdo, exaggerated for comic effect. Ann-Margret (R) pictured with the late Marty Feldman (L), director and star of "The Last Remake of Beau Geste". Feldman is wearing a blue track jacket with white stripes running along the sleeves, and a cap pulled low over his eyes; his hands are on A-M's upper arms. A-M is wearing a white corset, with lace-trimmed white chemise underneath, and long white gloves, with elaborate jewelry and her red hair done up and pulled up off her forehead. Ann-Margret (R) with costar Henry Gibson (L) in a watermarked photo (found on eBay) in a scene from "The Last Remake of Beau Geste". Gibson is wearing a fin-de-siecle-style French army uniform and holding a small potted plant. A-M is wearing a fancy, high-necked Edwardian-era dress (the photo is in B&W; in color the outfit is mint-green with darker-colored stripes). Her red hair is done up in elaborate curls in a sort of Gibson Girl-style pouf. Ann-Margret (L) with Roy Kinnear (R) in a scene from "The Last Remake of Beau Geste". Kinnear is wearing the uniform of a French Foreign Legion corporal. A-M is dressed in a white gown with a narrow red-and-blue sash around her waist, with thin, fancy shoulder straps and lots of pearl and diamond jewelry, with long white gloves; her red hair is done up in a comically exaggerated Gibson Girl-style pompadour (an extremely popular women's hairdo through most of the 1900's), with a diamond tiara nestled in her copper tresses. She's glowering pugnaciously at Kinnear and holding her white-gloved fists up in a boxing pose.

More Edwardian fashion images of Ann-Margret, #BOTD, as Flavia Geste, Beau Geste's wicked (or is she???) & sexy stepmother in 1977's "The Last Remake of Beau Geste" (like I said, my favorite of her movies). #annmargret #lastremakeofbeaugeste #moviesky #filmsky #filmcostume #edwardianfashion
Ann-Margret, BOTD, playing Flavia Geste in 1977's "The Last Remake of Beau Geste", making her grand entrance near the start of the movie. She's smiling seductively at someone off the field of view, and wears an elegant pink Edwardian daytime outfit with a large hat perched atop her copper tresses, which are done up in a comically exaggerated Gibson Girl hairdo. Ann-Margret, BOTD, playing Flavia Geste in 1977's "The Last Remake of Beau Geste", second from left with Marty Feldman as Digby Geste (to her left from viewer's perspective), Trevor Howard as Sir Hector Geste (to her right), and Michael York as Beau Geste (far right, smoking a cigar and holding a drink in his left hand). A-M is wearing a low-cut pink Edwardian evening gown with black accents and abundant pearl jewelry and black opera gloves with diamond buttons; she's smoking a cigar, which she holds in her gloved left hand, and black feathers in her Gibson Girl-pompadoured red hear, and is smiling at Howard. Ann-Margret, BOTD, playing Flavia Geste in 1977's "The Last Remake of Beau Geste", near the climax of the movie. She's facing Roy Kinnear (Corporal Boldini, out of sight of the viewer to the right of the image). She wears a white satin gown with choker-style pearl necklace and a tiara in her red Gibson Girl-styled hair, as well as white satin opera gloves. Her left hand is up and she has a wary expression on her face. Behind her can be seen the insignia of the French Foreign Legion on a curtain hanging against the wall. Ann-Margret, BOTD, playing Flavia Geste in 1977's "The Last Remake of Beau Geste", standing in front of costar Michael York (Beau Geste) at a dramatic moment. She wears a white satin evening gown with a narrow red-and-blue sash around her waist, white satin evening gloves, lots of pearl-and-diamond jewelry, and wears her bright copper hair in an exaggerated Gibson Girl coiffure. York wears an off-white French Foreign Legion uniform with high collar, and has his hands on her shoulder; A-M has just stepped in front of him to prevent Peter Ustinov (Sergeant Markov, the movie's chief villain) from shooting her lover. Both A-M and York have cautious expressions on their faces as they watch Ustinov (off-camera) to see what he might do next.
