Gabby Giffords was my U.S. Rep. I remember the day she was shot like it was yesterday.

Gun violence victims do not deserve to be permissible casualties because of the 2nd Amendment.

Many victims are gun owners so we can protect ourselves from the perpetrator.

In 2023, the CDC reported 46,728 gun deaths, & provisional data for 2024 shows 44,447 deaths.

Of the estimated 46,000 gun deaths each year, suicide is the most common intent, followed by homicide, police shootings, & unintentional shootings. (10/10)

(And yes, the reason for this is because Chicago in particular does get a fair number of guns trafficked over the border from Indiana, which is right up there with Kentucky in "gun laws? We don't need no stinkin' gun laws")

It's still illegal to sell to a convicted felon, and since July 2020 in Virginia even private sellers (except to a family member) have to verify that a buyer has gone through a background check through a licensed dealer, the same as if buying through a dealer. giffords.org/lawcenter/st...:

When the CAG19 was released, it was indeed legal, but CPC 29185 was modified in 2023 making it a misdemeanor to use a 3D printer or CNC mill to manufacture personal firearms. Now it's hand tools only!
