#OnThisDay 97 years ago the last LBSCR overhead AC electric train ran. It seems bizarre that relatively new electrification infrastructure was ripped down, but the Southern wanted consistent 3rd rail DC. c.1915 an AC unit calls at Wandsworth Road: RCHS buff.ly/kKoAcX9

I remastered my LBSCR E2, The original two batches (100-104 and 105-109) are all preserved on Sodor, the two Thomases represent how RWS Thomas looked upon arrival and in the present day. The DWR and C&HR each ordered a member for testing, and the final two are just fun liveries that were requested.

Former LBSCR and North Western Region E2 Class '32105' awaits departure from Sparsholt Station bound for Southampton Terminus, sometime in 1967.

32105 was the only E2 to receive BR lined black. It was the last E2 in service and was preserved in it's more known NWR Blue.

Does he still volunteer? Maybe a piece of original Railwayana, like a LBSCR carriage key, or does he already have a large collection

28 June 1919 // Paddle minesweeper HMS Duchess of Richmond (ex LSWR/LBSCR paddle steamer Duchess of Richmond, requisitioned 1916) was sweeping off Imbros in the approaches to the Dardanelles when she hit a mine. Observers in a balloon tethered to the ship had been directing the sweeping. [1/2]

Thomas is transmasculine (He/They) He initially used his identity as a cover when he escaped the LBSCR under the guise of a "mixup" but eventually realized he was far more comfortable with it

#OnThisDay 120 years ago the short-lived Bandon Halt between Wallington and Waddon was opened by the LB&SCR. As can be seen in this image taken from Plough Lane it was very rural, it closed 7th June 1914 before the UK entered World War 1. buff.ly/Mak4WsP

The Bachmann H2 is an absolutely handsome model and it’s one I’m happy to have in my collection.

I already love the LBSCR and the GNR C1 Atlantics, so when you basically have an LBSCR version of a GNR C1, you know I wanted a model of one!

The No 32670 crosses Langstone Bridge on the Hayling Island branch line, 26 May 1963.

Th timber viaduct was weak and it was why the ancient LBSCR ‘A1X’ locos were retained to work the line until it closed in November of that year.
