From 1972-1976, LDF secured a historic nationwide moratorium on capital punishment, saving 600+ lives. We commend TN Gov. Lee’s halt of all executions, pending investigation into the botched execution attempt of Christa Pike & urge SCOTUS to do the same.

Also, much as the capital punishment book was doubtless inspired by like, hearing Thurgood Marshall talk about his experience defending capital cases in the South, it's also very likely that he picked up a certain amount of Jewish ethics through osmosis at LDF

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 29 (SocialNews.XYZ) The Congress-led UDF has suffered a setback in its first electoral test after the V.D. Satheesan government took office, losing ground to the LDF in the local body byelections held across Kerala on September 28. The counting of votes took place on Tuesday. The results in 38 wards saw the UDF's tally fall from 22 sitting seats to 19, while the LDF increased its count from 15 to 18. Twenty20, an ally of the BJP-led NDA, retained its lone seat. More significant than the overall numbers was the exchange of sitting seats between the two fronts.
