#leadout
That`s my problem with him on Visma. Even if he stops having a conti rider level, he is very leadout dependent and Visma is not known historically to do solid trains to sprinters.
If they use him to start slowly building a train experience and then use it for Hobbs, then i`m fine.

the most leadout dependant sprinter in the bunch which is why affini or laporte has to be wherever he races imo

Looks like he was doing a leadout for jakobsen. The problem was that jakobsen wasn't in his wheel, and the train was breaking up (should have swapped doule with affini or laporte instead)

But jakobsen isn't without blame as he didn't hold brennan's wheel

I think he was doing leadout for Jakobsen, who was okay enough.

It was a very messy run-in, most trains got blown apart & guys were way out of position. Jasper was alone 2/3rds of the way down with 1km to go and had to launch just to get to 7th.

Olav had the best positioning and made it count. 👏

Nice to see jakobsen making sprint finishes again

He's still a leadout dependant sprinter, but he was boxed in, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt now we just need to see him sprint

Looks like brennan is on leadout duties

give gery another yr or 2 and her leadout will be just as deadly

well, i fear for the peloton
October 3, 2026 at 2:53 PM
Jasper Philipsen following his leadout train, because Alpecin knows what they’re about! 👏😆
October 3, 2026 at 11:52 AM
ik it would be unlikely but id love to see brennan do jakobsen a leadout just to see where he is sprint form wise
October 2, 2026 at 11:22 AM
Also team GB’s gonna give him a decent leadout, if you put some Ineos and NSN guys in, maybe Donaldson, Giddings, Fred Wright etc., you get a brilliant team that will surely take good care of him

meeus' last leadout was for a european champ it'll be fun seeing their combination

Perfect leadout for donati by magnier 😭
September 27, 2026 at 1:27 PM
ik she won so it doesn't change much but imo using puck as final leadout for demi was a mistake

puck is around equal level sometimes more explosive than demi so her lead out feels more of an attack than a setup. im sure it fried her legs in a way that made it possible for her to be caught

Moin. 👇

I love that women's racing takes chances. That leadout by Puck was exquisite.

Master leadout from Puck 😍
September 26, 2026 at 5:04 PM
Had a shower after gym, got a drink and sat down and right when I sat down Puck started her leadout. Couldn't have timed this better tbh #WCMontreal
September 26, 2026 at 5:02 PM
Puck would've won already if vollering did the leadout
September 26, 2026 at 4:58 PM
I wasn't convinced, but Puck seems to have survived her leadout and can now police the chase... That's some recovery after that effort!

Dit zou ik zo mooi vinden.
Mooiste nog: leadout door Remco.

Mathieu nog eens wereldkampioen is ook mooi natuurlijk. Maar o wat gun ik het Wout.

He also had bad luck in Omloop, where he scored 115 points last year. Plus the Giro where he never was likely to score and mainlybwas there as leadout (although his climbing level was a tad disappointing there imo).

i feel like groenewegen's leadout is atleast half the reason he's currently punching above his weight

what they need is to find a second sprinter of around groenewegen's level
September 18, 2026 at 3:02 PM
the rockets leadout has to be top 3 in the bunch currently
September 18, 2026 at 2:57 PM
I don't think Groenewegen had a better leadout this year, and Merlier just murders him
