In many frogs, the female is larger than the male.

Here, Nerves (left) is dwarfed by his mate, Tubba (right). This difference in size is because the female is the one who lays the eggs.

No matter how hard we may try, it's impossible to fully replicate the breadth of a wild frog's diet. The frogs of course, don't seem to mind, but that's why supplements and vitamins are so important.
