This is hella exciting! I'm definitely in the I tried leapmotion and sadly doesnt work well for my setup camp. I'm currently using Kemorig with another ARKit app (that does not track hands) on my device. Would be huge if I could add even minimal hand tracking.

Made a thingie. Adjustable leapmotion mount to go on low profile microphone arms. Works for v1 too, all the same mount but a different cage to hold the tracker

wait leapmotion has issues on linux? I've had very few on arch so far, even with the software being EOL at this point

Thanks! I used a 3D model of Cantio by Jackpot as a ref to start from, using a leapmotion to capture my hands. It was a big benefit for getting the timing how I wanted it

For those unaware, hand tracking is an incredibly niche field. Most devices for it were built by Ultraleap/Leapmotion which is now a defunct company. These things aren't being made while the patents behind them rot away.

Leapmotion for DCS only works if you play in VR BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I want to flip people off without having half the framerate and worse visuals BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Ive sorted a headtracker for it and I gotta get the leapmotion out of storage and velcro it on the front to use it to track my hands. Meaning I will be able to flip switches and also flip people off.

LeapMotion is infrared, not B/W but it is still image based so can be confused by things that are vaguely arm or hand shaped. In this case whatever that object is below your keyboard.

I see, I wear my leapmotion around my neck using a necklace I 3D printed, so the detection of my hands is always in front of me. One thing I will say is to make sure you use a 3.0 USB-C with enough data transfer, when I was using an older cable I had similar issues :(

What makes LeapMotion trash? Only asking since I've been using the Leap2 for years and never had any issues with it aside from having some driver issues once.

You can use VR controllers but I found it annoying to use in combo with my stick. You can use a leapmotion in combo with a VR headset to have your hands rendered properly and push stuff using the extra depth perception you get. I could do that, but I don't like it compared to a headtracker.

I’m using Warudo/Vnyan spouting into OBS. My phone captures my facial expressions, and my Leapmotion is recording my hands.
Granted that means having to have the model transcribed into the appropriate file time and rigged for either Warudo, Vnyan or VseeFace 🤔
