Having grown up in the same community as Leelah and being only 1 year older, it is crazy how TERF dense suburban Ohio was. My parents were only a little less insane than Leelah but I don’t know any trans people (myself included) from my region that doesn’t have CPTSD from their parent situation.

Everyone that claimed parental alienation was a self-absorbed bigot - and many had tried at-home DIY conversion therapy on their children.
The same DIY “therapy” that led to Leelah Alcorn’s suicide.
