Invisible Ink Lyrics:
Trying to act in my right mind
In this left handed fog
Trying to smuggle the sunshine
Past the light of one billion stars
I have been in the lion’s den
I have counted all his teeth
I have asked him casually
If he would mix me another drink
We dream in invisible ink
Can we root for the killer?
Can we praise the thief ?
The beast who sneaks in the pageant scene
To steal the crowds chambered heart
Don’t break the needle
Please don’t take my drugs away
Please don’t release my hand
Until they lower me in the grave
I know I know I know
I know I know I know je sais
Let’s flee this garden
Return to earth with me
I’ll wear a muzzle but they won’t silence me
Echoes will crack the canyon walls
I’ll tell the falcons to come fly with me
Take over the clocks and control all time
Return to earth with me

Artist Statement – Leon III's Invisible Ink Video
The video for Invisible Ink began with an idea from creative partners Brandon Ray and Adam Stockton: the rear-view mirror symbolizes the pull of the past, while the road ahead represents the unknown future.
In this multimedia visual journey, the members of Leon III travel an endless desert highway that gradually leaves reality behind, passing through cities, impossible landscapes, and the cosmos before returning to a transformed world shaped by the psychedelic artwork of Ventral is Golden.
Rather than illustrating the lyrics literally, the visuals aim to capture the song’s feeling—a place where memory, dreams, and reality blur together. Using a mix of illustrations, band photography, stock footage, and AI tools from Artlist.io, we created seamless transitions between the familiar and the surreal.
Like the lyric “we dream in invisible ink,” the video is ultimately about the journey. The farther you travel from your past, the harder it becomes to tell where reality ends and dreams begin.
