"mostly men or male-dominated spaces doing this" are you like not embarrassed at all that "men" can make better lesfiction than you folks? do you not see how this erasure leads to such misogynistic conclusions lol

these days i dont really have extreme views on who makes GL as long as it hits right but if you are someone concerned about authorship demographics and also tend to erase queer women's contribution to both traditional (novels, films) and modern (toxic yuri vn jam) lesfiction to claim that it is

the political dimension of lesfiction is that there is a potential to unify this through the intimacy of space and contact, but it's difficult to balance because of how often people slip into one or another.

at the end of the day though, what matters is the work. lesfiction exists only for the sake of itself. if you want to project upon it a project of being particularly super-ultra-misogynistic or utopian-feminist, you have to argue your points or hold your nose, and please stop

I'm halfway through this awesome debut by a new-to-me-author, Jennifer MD Cox, and I absolutely love it. Wow! #gettingtoknowyou @jenivere_the_wit #ninestarpress lesfic #lesfiction #theatre #slowburn #slowburnromance

i will always have a softspot for the lesfiction trope of the broody annoying jackass(hot/annoying, not abusive/creepy) butch. its such an ancient storied trope, feels like its probably basically been a thing forever, which to some extent i probably has if you count the inspirations

I just love this... and it still feels very true!
