That 40K was the best ride I’ve had in a good long while. I don’t really know anymore what determines the quality of a ride — I don’t know if I ever knew that — but I’d like more rides that felt like that, please.

Almost got flattened by a flatbed truck on today’s rider. The driver of that rig did not expect to see me again, but I caught him and gave him a great big European, “What was that?”

After today’s muggy 15-miler — no kidding, my *helmet* was sweating — it has been 134 miles since I’ve had to clip out and put a foot on the ground.
This meaningless streak will, at some point, be ended because some motorist doesn’t know how stop signs work.
