The fed statute is much more focused on the fed actors, and for something like this doesn't really mean liabilty for the states submitting. (State law may have other limitations/restrictions of its own.)
And you'd have to show that you were harmed by the sharing, not just that the info was shared.

If you're going to tell me that your tech as 10% chance of killing me and ending everything I hold dear, a strict-liabilty standard seems PERFECTLY REASONABLE.
For those who don't know: a strict liability standard is more than a negligence standard. It means, they're still guilty even if they did everything they could to prevent he harm.
The only regulation I’d support passing right now — honestly — is a strict liability law that says that company and its directors are personally are civilly and criminally liable for any harms their technology causes.
