Lichenicolous fungi are fascinating but sometimes frustrating. This Lepraria incana lichen has two anamorphs on it. However the one with the darker larger conidia is accentuated around a dead mite, so it might be arthropod specific? Any ideas?

A lichenicolous fungus on Chaenotheca cf. trichialis #lichen. I think this might be something...sometheing Acremonium s. lat. however I cannot find any species parasitizing on Chaenotheca.

The sclerotia of A. arachnoidea can be cut nicely but are not really visually interesting. What do you think, will staining yield more information or interesting structures?
