They show up near the Warriors of Aether all the time, trying to find the true Warrior of Light and all their Fragments (Sena=Earth, Noor=Fire, Sparrow=Ice, and so on). Their biggest struggle is the WoL, who seems to be both here and... not here? Yet, not in the Lifestream either.

The people on the reflections all die, but their aether merges with the shard on the Source/in the lifestream. So technically speaking people on the Source benefit, except that Calamities usually cause civilisation to entirely collapse for a while so everyone loses.
