The door to an ancient temple... in the middle of a factory?!

A horned figure in highlighter-yellow safety gear stands before a stone doorway embossed with the symbol of the Light aspect, the sun.
Surrounding this scene is a symmetrical arrangement of crates, fire alarms, boost ramps, and gas canisters.
There is a vaguely sun-shaped design painted on the floor with straight lines and right angles of yellow paint.

The light has faded, only darkness remains...

"Your boss is staring out at the abyss again. There's a faint scent of alcohol."
A symbolically tall figure in a suit stands on a balcony of a purple tower while a symbolically short horned figure in a skirt suit stands nearby.
The "sky' appears to be nothing but black static.

A tall man with blonde hair and obscuring glasses, wearing misfitting pokemon trainer attire is standing in a dramatically lit cave, presumably a highly modified version of Granite Cave in the Hoenn region.

A curious meeting...
#hyacinthheld🪻 #gamedev
#lightmage

"Think you can handle the truth?"
A winged girl smugly asks this to the tall blonde man in a suit.
There is a woman in blue, floating in midair, also watching the conversation nearby.
The three of them are out in a field of cut grass somewhere in what looks like the french countryside.

A horned figure stands in a hallway, wearing safety gear in highlighter yellow.
This is next to a series of identical safety vests on coat hanger hooks.
There is an orange sign that says "safety!" on the wall.
there are a few miscellaneous objects here and there, including some crates, a fire extinguisher, and a ramp propped against a wall. There are also some lockers, some of them open.

"I don't know what makes a myth greek, but I'll take your word for it."

A fairy in safety gear is in a conversation with a horned figure. They are in some sort of temple filled with star-studded floor tiles, glowy lamps, and some kind of serpent statue.

A red "captchalogue card" is being alchemized (created) by an alchemiter (item creation device). It is being shunted towards a winding conveyor belt that stretches across the room. There are various crates and inexplicable bunches of spikes here and there. A white horned figure in safety gear is watching the alchemization process from the control panel area.

"You decide not to cross-examine this guy."
A bar scene. There are three robed figures and a motobug at one table, a number of other random less ominous bar patrons at other tables, a really tall guy at the bar, a bartender with a strange eye thing, and some guy with a pink scarf of flames facing some guy with bleach blonde spiky hair.
The tileset used is modified 2k3, the charactersets are from a variety of styles, many of them in modified 2k3 style, the robed figures, flame scarf guy, and whoever that is over there with the white tail are in psuedo alterniabound style, while the tall guy is in a completely custom style.

One of the best things about the maniac patch is always going to be string pictures.
they are so freaking powerful and can be used for so many really cool things.

Text on Debug panel:
Debug panel
event coords: (35,15) [location of the figure with the scarf on screen]
target coords:(0,0) [note: this reading is false, as it should be pulling from the values in the event, but because they are "self variables", they don't want to be passed to the common event instance???]
target coords?: (24,208) [some leftover values that aren't even in use currently. uses the global version of the event ID's instead.]
coords diff: (39,15) [event coords minus target coords]
a seemingly unclothed blue dragon girl and a temporic in a pink scarf are standing in a hallway before a cafeteria with disorganized chairs. The temporic is facing the wall, being compelled to walk north due to a wonky pathfinding system.
