Yes my end results are often close to the sketches I post, because I do not post the X doodles I did beforehand.

3-put it on your lightpad/table, trace the inking with a colored pencil (preferably a non-photo one) and do the outlines for ink,it has to be a colored pencil because normal pencil would be hard to see through the lightpad.
4-ink the outlines with a 0.3/5mm fineliner.

My laptop is now a glorified mp3 player and a power supply for my lightpad that occasionally plays ps2 games when it feels nice to me on that day

i have a Lightpad from roli, it's basically a midi controller but instead of midi it's MPE and the surface is soft and squishy and sensitive across multiple parameters for Hella Expression, it lights up to mirror the NOISE interface

When I use the lightpad with my 300lb paper the lines can get pretty hard to see, but it’s easier the less light there is in the room.
Cut to me transferring sketch to paper in my office with the door closed, curtains drawn and all the lights off like a little cave creature 😂

Sketching on a paper is THE best... I got a lightpad purely because I loooove sketching w weird stuff and on rly bad paper that doesn't hold markers haha

Yeah I have a lightpad that Erik got me, I just have to go upstairs to use it lol. Tbh I might try the iPad if only to have a semi accurate digital color reference

Not cross stitch this time but a finish none the less. Diamond painting is easier to take with me and work on while in a clinic or hotel room. Used a rechargeable A4 lightpad for this which is small enough to pack but also doesn't require moving around all the time.

This is usually how my drawings start out and I still had to flip it back and forth with my lightpad. I’m actually a bit stumped, so I might come back to it another time. I’m trying to say it’s okay if you’re frustrated with your art.

Before I put these Tulips and Hyacinth in the compost I photographed them over my lightpad. Just because a flower is not in full bloom, it doesn’t mean it can’t be interesting. #photography #flowers #tulips #hyacinth #lightpad #flowerphotography

currently working on an art trade with watercolors
Since I know that I can draw the lineart digitally and print them on my watercolor paper, it’s so much more fun. Before I had to use my broken lightpad and try to trace/ guess the lines through the thick paper.

5 months ago I bought about 250 antique magic lantern slides for about €60. Mostly french Romanesque, Venetian & Roman Architecture. Dating from the late 1870s to 1900. Bought a couple of projectors too, converted to electric; only now getting the chance to look properly at them using a lightpad.
