This is true! We liked the internet. People weren't cheering for the Dot Com Crash.
The kids hating AI and the gen pop hating data centers, I can promise you that this literally never happened when Silicon Valley was making big leaps and bounds in the 90s tech scene. Email worked. Search worked. Message boards worked. It wasn't some nebulous snake oil looking for a purpose.

I really liked wildwood but there was a big plothole in the movie that was really distracting and kinda brought it down for me. Why did she kidnap prue's brother, act motherly towards him and then attempt to sacrifice him when she could have just done that to me and I actually would have liked it
