Apparently he briefly persuaded Lineker/other public FBPE types to sign up for one of his films (i.e. grifts). It never actually materialised because even these intellectual luminaries quickly saw through him.
Gary Lineker duped over 'vile' film's lies about Boris' Covid
An arch-Remainer, who once tried to prosecute Boris Johnson over Brexit, has claimed in a documentary that the former Prime Minister lied about nearly dying from Covid.

There appear to be one or two millionaires in the UK the government are keen to ignore. Can’t imagine why, although it might have something to do with a few of them not having a charitable bone in their whole fekin body ? fortune.com/2026/07/24/1...
120 millionaires have signed a letter begging the British government to tax them more: 'We can afford it' | Fortune
Millionaires including Brian Echo, Gary Lineker, and Simon Pegg have signed a letter to U.K.’s prime minister asking for higher taxes to tackle inequality.

A privately educated so called Christian man. Privileged and full of himself. In a position to do what he wants to and talk about (often himself).

His (and his colleagues) complete abandoning of Sangita Myska wasn't exactly a Gary Lineker allies moment and shows his lack of honesty & self interest.

A rotating cast of celebs and politicians with even a faintly left wing bent have been darkly dismissed as “being on Moscow’s payroll”. Dr David Owen was one. Gary Lineker another.
alright everyone, tell us which famous person your mom dislikes for indeterminate reasons
my mom is like this with joel mchale. which makes me wonder, does everybody's mom have a random celebrity/athlete they don't like for reasons? 😂

Imagine the collective meltdown if someone like Gary Lineker did something like this talking about the emergent browshirts. He'd probably have to go back to Nagoya to not go through daily harassment from the rightwing press with the Guardian shaking their head to know they also disagree with it.

Moin cif and all. Alarm rather rudely disturbed g’daughter and I having lunch with G. Lineker and friends - very accepting of “dats mine” for both food and other items (GD obvs).
Freezer filling up with ginger prepped yesterday making the house smell fantastic.

Sorry, I got the wrong end of the stick🙏

“Gary Lineker from Leicester, the City that welcomes immigrants”

Either in a negative context i.e. critical of Leicester welcoming immigrants

Or a positive context as you meant it

Unfortunately, I had a number of reform supporters replies to my post

Now, you can argue with this or not, but outside of politics reporting, interviews, etc, the BBC’s policy is to be free of political messaging. This is why Lineker got into the trouble he got into. I personally don’t think it is a political message, but someone does.

If the BBC gave Lineker Chris Mason’s job ratings would triple overnight!
Can we have another petition to replace Mason and Kuenessberg please?
👇He was made to step back from presenting on BBC for 3 days due his criticism of Tory Govt’s immigration policy on Twitter

He’s paid £275,000 a year by BBC👇for cheerleading Reform, amplifying anti migrant, racist rhetoric, not challenging them/their ”policies” and sniping at Labour, Greens etc

I think the big problem with Justin Webb is that he agrees with what Yusuf says.

Webb somehow is allowed to write opinion pieces in the right wing press which I find difficult to understand. How do BBC bosses reconcile that with the outrage over Gary Lineker tweeting?

I can’t stand Chris Mason and will forever love Gary Lineker.

Maybe picked a good time to stop listening to every episode of Stick To The Rest Of Football.

Micah Richards (and to an extent Jill Scott) are in impossible positions: naturally babyfaces, but booked to be the heels until City are properly punished, with the presenters in an awkward No Man’s Land.

Joey Essex, Ranvir Singh & JB Gill have survived anything & everything Gary Lineker could throw at them. Tonight, it's The Box Grand Final & only one of them can be named champion. Find out who on ITV 1 now. #TheBoxITV #grandfinal

'Gary Lineker never received a single yellow or red card during his entire 16-year professional career (1978–1994), making him one of the cleanest-playing footballers in history'

Sorry I am doing this because my City Leicester is so proud of our Gary Lineker.
