Is Lost Records the LiS successor that the other LiS couldn’t live up to? LiS 2 was meh and LiS3 was meh but better. Heard nothing but good things about Lost Records so far.

LiS1 is a masterpiece.
Only Double Exposure (Lis4) is a true sequel (of LiS1).
Lis2 makes passing references to LiS1.
TC (Lis3) includes the return of a minor BTS character.
BTS is a prequel to LiS1, but hits harder when played afterwards.

Regarding her powers, it was mostly great. In terms of puzzle solving, it surpasses LIS2, LIS3, and BTS. In terms of the powers having story connection/relevance, it surpasses all of the games in this series. The usage was intuitive and occasionally clever.

It's not even an edgy thing on this. I am just very hardline on "save scumming ruins the story in games, especially ones with choices and consequences". (LiS2 was also fun but slow paced. Lost interest around LiS3 but need to pick up Lost Records).

anyways please play lis2 if u want something that is unequivocally improved on the lis formula & much more rooted. and its only downfall is having 2 shitty love interests but theyre quite literally not the point of the story. hell, if u want smth that has extremely dimilar vibes to lis1 play lis3
