Good morning! Today I found a bug in the Android Framework that's at least 6 year old 🐛🐛

TL;DR: View.onDetachedFromWindow() is sometimes not called for ListView child item views.

quickly flicking the mouse around a chargen listview is pretty performant now, did a little isolation of nested layout groups so changing the internals of various panes doesn't dirty every rect int he universe.

ListView item click has always had a built in 64 ms additional delay for taps, for absolutely no good reason.

Basically made Android tap performance on lists feel bad from day 1.

I filed a bug in 2022: issuetracker.google.com/issues/23296...

No update.

Today: closed as obsolete.
