Streptocarpus ‘Purple Harlequin’ at work back in December. ‘Salmon Sunset’ is the one behind it and there is a #begoniaferox too.

From a house of blooms to so many hand-pollinated seed heads. Anna (the grower) and I have been busy with the Winter Jewels hellebores at Little Prince.

My expertise is in specialty crops in ornamental horticulture. Begonias—especially the narrow wedge of the “hardy” ones—are a favorite group I work with. I love them all though, and these are just a few in the stock area at work.

Hand pollination of hellebores equates to precision seed saving. Only one way to do that!! Can’t wait to see the Winter Jewels seed count for this year.
