Bob Dylan is set to release a comprehensive 39-CD deluxe box set titled 'The Rolling Thunder Revue: The 1976 Live Recordings', featuring 381 tracks with 371 previously unreleased recordings. The collection captures Dylan's 1976 tour, which began on April 18 in Lakeland, Florida, and concluded on May 25 in Salt Lake City, spanning 27 dates. The box set includes a 3LP set of the complete May 16 Fort Worth show, remixed from original multi-track tapes, featuring performances of 'Going, Going, Gone' and 'Idiot Wind'. Dylan reunited with Joan Baez for duets including 'Blowin' in the Wind' and 'Railroad Boy' during the tour. The band featured musicians such as Rob Stoner, Scarlet Rivera, Howie Wyeth, Mick Ronson, Steven Soles, David Mansfield, and T Bone Burnett. The set includes liner notes by Mikal Gilmore, rare photographs, and a booklet. The release, scheduled for November 6, 2026, marks the first time these recordings have been available to fans since the shows. Additionally, Dylan recently added guitarist Jimmie Vaughan to his live band following lineup changes, including the departure of Doug Lancio and Bob Britt. The 2026 tour has seen Dylan revive rarely played songs such as 'I Shall Be Released' and 'You Ain't Goin' Nowhere', with upcoming UK and European dates starting in Norway in October and London performances at the Royal Festival Hall in December.
