Enemy variety, while a bit better than in botw is still pretty poor. You’re still fighting bokoblins, moblins, and lizalfos most of the time. And the new ones are either in specific places, or are just recolered of the same enemy type. No poes, redeads, leevers, peahats, dark nuts, deku, babas etc.

the alternate headline for this was "please send electric lizalfos tails" as I am nothing if not predictable in my single-game obsession
Find out how you feel about Mike Flanagan's Carrie this weekend. And rewatch Camp Miasma while you're at it:

The BotW Lizalfos are my least favorite design with Twilight Princess my favorite. No hate towards Chameleons, it's just why did they change them?

i never 100%ed TOTKs armor upgrades because its legitimately insane to me that part of the grind asks you to AFK for nine and half hours...
but the part that actually made me stop was needing 50+ ice lizalfos tails, requiring you to kill 200 lizalfos, which is more than there are spawns

This actually got me rethinking my comps for The Cruelest Gift. For maximum (and accurate) cognitive dissonance, I think I'd go with "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time meets Come and See."

There's the Digdogger bridge but no Digdogger itself. Very funny name for what feels like an obscure mini-boss.
Also with all the different kinds of Bokoblin-to-Moblins variants, Dinalfos as a bigger tougher Lizalfos could've been cool.
