Those who have escaped successfully have shown obvious boosts to healing and their overall physical health—reports of having the most restful sleep of their lives immediately afterward. However, the individual is unable to put this experience behind them and then appear to go through withdrawal, forever longing for what they felt in that hug again. it is noted that at least half of survivors will actively seek out HUGME again.

art of a man with a tentacle-like tendril bursting from his skull. his body has become a home and shell for another entity. `Delivery` isn't such a bad guy. It [the entity known as Delivery] used to live inside the dog of a postal worker. instead of being horrified, the mailman adored the dog, infected or not. when the postal worker passed away, Delivery took over his body as well. As you might have guessed, Delivery can only live in corpses. that leads one to wonder if the mailman simply refused to accept his pets death, choosing instead to love the delusion of life. perhaps he even came to love the creechur itself. Delivery must have cared for the human in some way—the man died of natural causes and not due to any type of attack from the infected canine.

an ink brush drawing. perspective is from inside an apartment looking through the door peephole. there is a man in a hoodie (hood up) yelling on the other side. there are smudges on his clothes that may be blood. his expression is distraught, with wide eyes, flared nostrils, etc. Dan was known only by whispered reputation at the apartment complex. the resident drunk. prone to paranoia and psychosis, it was hard for others to take him seriously. he mostly stayed shut up in his place, and was rumored have have many mental disorders. despite his frightful appearance, he has never been deliberately dangerous. misunderstood and untrusted, the people he tried to warn turned a deaf ear to his rambles. The word is that he is still alive somewhere in the world of HERE, though he has taken up a nomadic lifestyle. If you happen across Dan during your travels, dont be afraid to accept his invitation for a story and meal at his camp. Dan may also have items for trade. The hydration horror is reported to make resting sounds that resemble the flow or trickle of water. their tongue is extremely sticky on the outside, and slick and hollow in the inside. they can leave it out of their mouths longer when in humid environments. They typically will use their tongue to puncture and drain beings with exoskeletons, and bring beings with internal skeletons into their large pelican-like mouth to digest before spitting out anything incompatible.
