the record ends in a lockgroove so technically somebody could have left it playing the entire time.

in Deadwax we introduce the main character having oral sex performed on her, unable to
finish unless the record, spinning in the lockgroove, is flipped. in 5 seconds tells you everything you need to know about this person. and it's, you know, funny. (and relatable. maybe.)

Asmus Tietchens' remix of the RRR100 lock grooves on the triple LP Ptomaine is one of my favorite records. each piece he does also ends in its own lockgroove.

The latest from Martin/Ryan Rex (Lockgroove) swirls around a propulsive tension, echoing a classic alternative sound that calls back to a time when rock bands experimented w seismic beats + sweeping electronic textures, + electronic artists leaned into a more primal and pointed rock n' roll energy.

My buddy’s band Lockgroove got a song on that show. I think they were barely paid and mostly were stoked about the exposure - which was amazing for a small 90s indie band. But there are tons of big name bands on that show. No idea how they afforded all that.
