Here's my finished #painting of a #grasshopperwarbler. Despite being rather dull & with a weird voice, he's a cracking little bird.

Oil on linen-finish paper - 23 x 23 cms - £65. Contact me for more info.

Last grasshopper warbler of 2025 is Pausik!

named after him doing micro pauses while singing. He was singing in different area and that was the only bird singing there this season.

This year first common grasshopper warbler is Riidik!

I do not get close to these guys that often, as they usually sing always in inaccessible areas. This guy sang on an open field, so was good place.

Second common grasshopper warbler, we have Ruudik!

He sang not far away from Riidik 40-70 meters or so, so was able to capture his song too. Stutter the Thrush nightingale on BG, with amazing echo.
