Nothing special, just a Gulf sticker, the cleanest of a few given to me by the owner of Central Garage, Bishopsteignton, in the late 1980s (a garage in fact supplied by Heltor, at that point a Gulf distributor, and later using their own brand name). My brother and I stuck most of the stickers on various things, so I'm glad a few survived. The slight printing defects are original! This Gulf logo (introduced in 1964) is one of the longest-lived oil company logos still in use. The current Gulf licensee in the US has brought in an ugly revised version, but in most of the world where the Hinduja Group's Gulf Oil International licenses the Gulf brand to other companies, such as Certas Energy in the UK, this version remains the standard. Although, it often appears nowadays with a registered trademark sign on the right-hand side, perhaps because there is such a market in (presumably mostly unauthorised) Gulf-branded motorsport-inspired items, from clothes to (mostly very bad) repro signs, I'd love to know who designed the logo originally—I'm assuming a major US agency, but I don't know.
