Japoney is singing the end of PFFR’s song “Rainy Day”, off of their 2005 EP “Chrome Ghost”, in this pic because I love PFFR’s music a lot so that’s why I drew this ;) Nick, who is an elephant in this pic (he pretty much has the power to shapeshift into different animals, as inspired by Beast Boy), is blowing a raspberry and flailing his trunk at his younger sister Sasha, who says in response “Seriously, Nick!?!?”. This one drawing is Japoney (the apple-headed one wearing a top hat and a rainbow shirt sitting on the ground looking up at the rain and crying) and his worm companion Mason (the worm sitting on the ground, roasting Japoney’s quote-unquote “singing”) sitting on a rainy day outside (how the fuck are their clothes not wet Jesus Christ!!!!). Japoney here is sobbily singing the last few lines of PFFR’s song “Rainy Day” (honestly my favorite song from them, as a long-time fan of their work), off of their 2005 EP “Chrome Ghost” (the latter’s album cover was based off of Japoney’s character design, to clarify). To be honest, I feel that I should go all in with the PFFR references (especially because I’ve been following the group’s work and finding out that they used to make music) with some of the quick drawings I do of this character. Hell, I might consider sharing some of my new PFFR fan-artwork to the r/adultswim subreddit in the future… I’m pretty sure this other drawing says it all lol I made this earlier before I left to go to school today: Junior (the one wearing the Jr. shirt) is having a meltdown while his older brother Nick (the one wearing the N shirt) is calming him down. Of course he can be mischievous but he’s also a very caring person (especially for whenever his siblings are around him or they’re in danger)
