I felt Mr. Milchick's pain. Don't tell me I can't use "big words". As a logophile, I take umbrage at the notion that such an exemplary skill could be regarded unfavorably.

I'm kind of a word enjoyer (a logophile, even). Have you ever heard the word "gongoozler"?

Daddy was on a short hiatus this past week while she enjoyed some time away. I’m coming home - did you miss me? Tell me how much. Use those words I enjoy so much.

I forgot my audience when speaking to a coworker and used the word "Limpidity".

Instantly recognizing my mistake, as said coworker is hardly a logophile... I had the somewhat chucklesome experience of having to clarify the meaning of the word.

Which to my jovial ass was moderately amusing.

Victorian vernacular: come and ‘ave a pickle
Reading a 1909 dictionary of Victorian slang was a kind of time travel. Guided by its author, the chuckling snoot, down grim London streets. I saw them as inky sketches made from adjectives. Ever fogg...

The in-game book described the Flower Dancers of the Unbridled Shave as quite #selcouth. A word Rory, as well read as anyone, could not say he’d ever encountered, but he was nothing if not an acquisitive logophile, and squirrelled away the word to use in random conversation for the future.
