Honstly I think not enough of the lonliness epidemic is laid at the feet of climbing work hours and vanising third spaces?
Best way to make adult friends is repeated proximity, I.E interest clubs, trivia nights etc.
But if you don't live near a library or something, or work alot there's nothing.

Part of my dislike for the whole "male loneliness" thing is that I think using lonliness in this way is too sympathetic of wording for what these men are doing. They're alienating themselves. This man has a wife & kids! He has people around him that he's choosing to ignore to focus on himself.

the "lonliness epidemic" was a dumb idea pushed by the right wing and media to try and make fetch happen, and in reality these dudes just had to be told to be normal over and over again on youtube/tiktok/instagram by the women they wanted to date and it seems to have broken through.
