Healthy food is about policy and quality control. As train stations are redone, include that in the blueprint South Central Railway’s proposal to open up train stations to single-brand company-owned food retail is a smart idea. About 2.3cr train passengers are ever peckish while others want interesting snacks at every station, like the lookaround at airport stalls. As 1200 stations go into redevelopment, a culinary expansion, and the revenue for railways, are welcome.
