Norway is also advancing swiftly with the electrification of heavy-duty vehicles.

Interest in electric trucks is extremely high, with the national energy agency funding "as many electric vehicles as the regulations allow".

Think of it like transporting golf balls in lorries. You could move the same number of golf balls with ten massive lorries or a hundred small ones.

LDL-C only counts the golf balls. It doesn't count the lorries.

And…it's the lorries that crash into your artery walls.

Sam Altman also thinks tyres are wasted on frivolous things like buses and lorries
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says having RAM in personal computers is a ‘terrible’ use of limited resources and that it would be better utilized in data centers

"From a global perspective it’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their computer"

"... The amount collected by each was marked down, for payment was calculated on results. Here two hundred people were working together. I was told that in some ultra-modern farms the picking was done from lorries equipped with vacuum hoses!"

Friday run ✅. I always forget that running on a Friday morning means passing by the bin lorries, never pleasant when you're gasping for breath. My knee was also hurting a bit, but I seemed to run through it so I'm sure that's fine. Gorgeous weather though.

Stand out song was Heart of Stone - Cher 🎶

Morning. Roadworks Galaxy Day 5. Awake at 5 with milk lorry. Tea stirs automatically as lorries shake on what is left of the road. Bisou is getting used to the tinkling chandelier and rattling doors hopping on their hinges. She regularly migrates from settee to lap. Only 5 more months to go. 🙈

Plane's delayed ;)

My PTSD issue is I was dragged along the road by a lorry and missed death by a nano-millimetre. It was overtaking & went in to the bike lane, so going past *any* vehicles on the inside shoots my adrenaline through the roof, but you can imagine what it's like with lorries!

Also, if the tank is obsolete (because of drones) then so are every type of vehicle on the battlefield. Tanks, APCs, recovery vehicles, SP artillery, lorries.
Interesting article. I'm particularly taken by the argument that if tanks are in fact obsolete, which of a tank's capabilities are no longer needed or it can be done by something else?

Guess what? Its capabilities are still needed and there isn't a single thing that can provide these capabilities.
My latest: on the history and future of the tank on the battlefield.

“Survivability, like attritability, is in the eye of the commander, after all. It’s all about what it buys you in your engagement, battle, and campaign in the aggregate.”

Ghost Crabs ~ Dr. Maya C. Popa
—I don't know that the world was ever more forgiving, the lorries less heavy with stolen bodies, the drownings fewer over holiday weekends.
The ghost crabs come like spies, and it is beautiful to hope for them

This is why narrowing the road by City Hall that leads to the Excel was a very silly idea. Lorries blocking the road in both directions trying to go round a parked bus at a bus stand. Zebra crossing partially blocked too. Good work, street designers. So glad I have had a year of disruption for this.
