Nature always helps me feel better. I live in the PNW & I am grateful for all the beauty. On the way to see Suzy Eddie Izzard, I stopped at Sahalie Falls because it's one of my favorite places.

Dungeness for dinner, caught yesterday. Another reason to #LoveOregon. Although lobster remains superior.

Living in the Willamette (wuhLAMMet) Valley means you don't have to shovel snow, but you can get to snow by driving an hour. Best of both worlds. #LoveOregon
I wrote about a very fun and cozy snow shelter that's probably the best one for kids to visit because it's an easier snowshoe or ski trip. And oh yes, you can stay the night: tinyurl.com/2jzf2m47

The Westview Shelter hidden in the forest makes for a fun and kid-friendly outing this winter or early spring.

#LoveOregon I even love walking across a gravel parking lot at midnight in cougar country to pee, because the sky is shimmering bright from the Milky Way. Few things more glorious. www.oregonlive.com/travel/2024/...

Bison are VERY cool, you should visit Yellowstone and see them in the wild

But also, if you take stuff to the dump in Enterprise? You can see bison. In pastures along the road.

And you can get bison burgers in town. Plus, Terminal Gravity! #LoveOregon

You Can See Hundreds of Bison and Buy Free Range Meat at This 7000-Acre Oregon Ranch
In the northeast corner of the state near Enterprise, one Oregon family has been raising these massive animals for decades, and today Stangel Bison Ranch is home to roughly 500 bison spread across

Made it to Zumwalt yesterday. Still pretty.

Still beyond words for spaciousness, vast spread of rolling golden hills, rugged snowy peaks, endless sky.

So lucky we get this place as home for a month. #TNC #Caretaking #LoveOregon

Very fine rare book collection, & fabulous Aalto library. However, took the inlaws, rosarians, & they were baffled by the varieties in the rose garden. Turns out staff just "make up a name" when a tag gets lost. Plus, taxidermied cow & fallen propeller that killed cow. #LoveOregon

Spent a few days in big sky country by Summer Lake Oregon. Too cloudy to see the stars at night but will return some day for some star gazing. #summerlakehotsprings #bigskycountry #desertbasin #loveoregon
