Perhaps the iconic structure of the city of Marquette—DSS&A Dock #6 or, as we simply call it “The Ore Dock”. It hasn't been used in 54 years, but the city (and those who call it home) wouldn't be the same without it.

A picture of what's called "The Ore Dock" in Marquette's Lower Harbor. Built in 1931, it was only used until 1971. Since then, it has sat in the water, slowly becoming perhaps the single most iconic structure in a city that has a few of them. It's also the one thing inspires what every single tourist who visits ask--"what IS that thing in the water"?
