Pratap Mehta on global political thought for the Brian Barry Lecture with @leaypi.bsky.social #lseunbornworld

Mehta: "He [Brian] was extraordinarily fierce ... but he was a generous soul". That captures it well. #lseunbornworld

Yesterday's Brian Barry Memorial Lecture with Pratap Mehta and @leaypi.bsky.social. Pratap is telling us that major political meta-narratives are no longer seen to meet the basic legitimation demand. The only meta-narrative still strong is nationalism. @lsegovernment.bsky.social #lseunbornworld.

Excellent lecture on global political theory in times of crisis by Pratap Bhanu Mehta in LSE today #lseunbornworld
