New lens for the collection, and yet again it's a Meyer Optik Görlitz. This time it's the 30mm f3.5 Lydith. Now waiting for good, sunny conditions to get out and about with it.

And with that, the Tripod Head Saga finally comes to an end.

Annoyingly, the li'l fluid head had a stripped screw which prevented the L bracket from working with it.
But then, during an idle ebay search, I found my dream tripod head, 2nd hand, at a crazy low price.

Camera ramblings!
When I was in the US, my gf kindly gave me an old tripod with an enormous Fluid Head.

Turns out, on a lil' camera like mine, especially when trying to compose with a mirror lens, that kind of precise control is way more useful (to me) than a ball head.

So I got a Pinky sized one!

One thing I really liked about the second Asfi story was the emphasis on saving yourself. Lydith straight up tells her if a hero rescues you you will be his prize, and have no more freedom than you do now.

My gf3 and Lydith 30mm are my favourite thing for everyday use, which is funny because I only bought an Exa mount adapter for funsies!
I also keep a 50mm Pentacon in my work bag.

Sadly there wasn't much time to actually go photowalking yesterday, but it's nice rainy day today so hopefully!

i have a slight hunch that it's actually a Meyer Optik Görlitz Lydith 30/3.5 but at this point I forgot when did I get rid of that lens (this photo is from summer 2023)

If you should look for a Meyer Lydith 30 and can't find one, there is a Pentacon 30 which is more or less the same lens . The Meyer is a tad more "bubblelicious", and with the Pentacon you get a closer focusing distance, and maybe a better price. :-)

Lydith isn't a Drama by Sophokles, it is another Vintage lens by Meyer-Görlitz. 30mm/3.5. versatile,small, lightweight,macro-like close focusing distance, sharp and with some of the distinct Meyer "bubbly", painterly Bokeh and affordable. @ggcimages @sue_woollard1
