My son and I are starting the evening with IB Macallans. First up a marvellous 34yo from SMWS. Add a few drops of water and it becomes a fragrant delight. The 13yo is more typical since it was sherry aged.

Nr 4. Macallan Fine Oak 12yo. One of the most distinguished brands. I used to have a 15yo but when I wanted to buy another it suddenly was 250 euros. Def not the price I payed for it.
This 12yo is less special.

Die meisten kaufen diesen Uisge Beatha nicht zum genießen. Und Macallans sind eh mittlerweile Abzocke. Der durchschnittliche 12er Sherry Casl ist ja auch schon bei über 100 und nicht wirklich das Geld wert.

Probably 1970s/early 80s. Dropped orange pine ceilings are no doubt hiding horrors - and amazing cornicing in the divided off bedroom makes it all the more suspicious the rest of it had to be ripped out...
