anyone who knows Youtube history remembers the Multi-Channel Network Era, and that era was all about volume. an MCN owner recruits as many channels as possible, so that they skim a little off of the top of everything. Yeah hows that going in 2026? not too well I think! ask Machinima or Maker Studios

I love the idea for Simo by TheSimsTree! 💚 From everything I've seen so far I think it would be amazing for machinima creators. I sadly missed the Beta as I only found out about it today but I'll deffo be joining when it's released to the public! 😀

I love this project, but I had postponed to release this video for months, because I started thinking it looks bad and messy.

SMG4 was such a weird channel: Started as Mario 64 Machinima, turned into Gmod animations with not just recolored Marios but full-fledged OCs, the creator founded a whole animation studio for some of those OCs, and that became arguably THE biggest name in Indie Animation.

SMG4 was such a weird channel: Started as Mario 64 Machinima, turned into Gmod animations with not just recolored Marios but full-fledged OCs, the creator founded a whole animation studio for some of those OCs, and that became arguably THE biggest name in Indie Animation.

I also loved machinima, there was an active scene in Edinburgh thanks to Hugh Hancock, who invented the term and was a great guy in real life too, sadly passed away in 2018. I went to a few screenings and even hosted a few machinima academic events.

My god. Could the machinima scene have handled this?
A tangent, but kinda making me feel nostalgic for how the early internet video game scene was. The audience was willing to create and watch art made with such limited tools. There's nothing quite like that now.
