Just got word that my personal essay that appeared on the Macleans website is going to be published in the print magazine.
With Pierre Berton being a hero of mine and a huge inspiration, having something published in Macleans is a dream come true for me.

Colgate toothpaste is a good one to boycott - every household uses toothpaste, and it's trivially easy to substitute a non-American brand (Macleans or Aquafresh). I've been using Macleans - it is basically the same stuff and is slightly cheaper as well.
